ABOUT
'IT'S ALL ABOUT LIGHT, MOVEMENT AND COLOR.’
The relationship between art and emotion is symbiotic in my work.
The images I create are about to hold en let go. The paintings are the take on today’s social issues. Life today overwhelms us with an overdose of choices, even in this ‘stay home’ era. I try to offer an escape, an opportunity to take a step back and reflect. It’s about slowing down time, being a spectator instead of an active participant.
Fleeing is necessary in my work, they will be immortalized snapshots on static wood. The painted panels capture the intangible, the poetic and the emotional in an image. Because of the sea views and the addition of objects or people, fixed in the ground or waving in the wind, we as spectators always get a new angle.
